Jam for Cam
Below is the link to the 2024 campaign for Jam for Cam:
From the team:
“Jam for Cam was created in the Fall of 2018 to establish a fundraiser to honor Cameron Fearon, a UGA student, who passed away from metastatic melanoma in August of that same year. He began his battle with melanoma in the eighth grade and fought for years until he eventually succumbed to the disease at the age of 19. He always kept quiet about his ailments and never once complained about his treatment or his pain. For these reasons and many more, we decided that Cameron’s name should never be forgotten. Thus, we created Jam for Cam. In short, Jam for Cam is a not-for-profit (501c-3 verified) charity that puts on a music festival every fall to honor Cameron’s life and bring together the Athens and UGA communities. Although the money raised does get put to good use through our donations to charities, this event is driven by our desire to bring people together to celebrate life through music.
This event is more than just raising money for cancer research and scholarships, we are committed to bringing a community together where every individual is held equal and can come together to celebrate life. We cannot thank you enough for taking the time to read this and please consider donating to our cause or purchasing tickets to the event if you wish to join us.”
Sincerely,
The Jam for Cam Team
