Brother to Serve on High Council
Current Mu Chapter Commander Wells Ellenberg (Mu 2400) was
recently selected to serve a one-year term as Collegiate Grand Councilman. He joins three other collegians and seven
alumni as a voting member of Sigma Nu Fraternity’s High Council, or board of
directors. The announcement was made by
Regent Robert Durham (Mu 1650) at College of Chapters in St. Louis, Missouri.
The High Council is responsible for governing the business and affairs of
the General Fraternity, a multi-million dollar organization with nearly 200
chapters and over 200,000 initiates nationwide. Wells follows in the footsteps of George Ward (Mu 2308), who served as a Collegiate Grand Councilman from 2009-2010. This is a tremendous honor for Wells and a testament to Mu Chapter’s
dedication to excellence.
Wells is a third-year Honors Program student from Saint
Simons Island, Georgia, majoring in political science. He also serves as the
sole voting student member of The University of Georgia Athletic Association
Board of Directors, among other pursuits.
